Geological Characterization

The NE of Trás-os-Montes, where Azibo Lagoon Protected Landscape is placed, is seen as a great geological complex zone. This protected area’s geology is linked to Maciço de Morais, which commonly forms a set of ultramafic rocks, decisive to some floristical species presence.
